I must stress these are social media rumours and should be treated with caution, but even so this news certainly coincides with with I was told on Saturday morning by a former a former Brighton player.
It is no secret that fan unrest has been growing in relation to Fabian Hurzeler but that opinion was not shared (or welcomed) at board room level. This may now change. It has been reported on X by a well known user that a certain contingent of Brighton players have gone to club owner Tony Bloom to voice their displeasure at their treatment by the German manager. The main gripe appears to be the mundane training sessions as well as the negative demeanour the Brighton manager posses.
As alluded to at the start of the article I was also made aware on Saturday morning that a current Brighton players was "bored and frustrated" with the current training regime implemented by Hurzeler. I have also heard rumblings from a different source of a training ground bust up last week involving other Brighton players. The reason for the bust up is believed to be in relation to playing time.
Again I stress these are only rumours but the lacklustre performances as well as poor body language displayed on the pitch only adds credence to such rumours. For what it's worth I fully expect Hurzeler to leave Brighton at the end of the season. I believe it would be beneficial for everyone involved.
Be interesting to see how this plays out.
